Faculty Exhibit
March 12 - April 10

This exhibit will proudly showcase work in all media by Guilford Art Center faculty members, from painting and drawing to pottery, glass, weaving, stone carving and more. An opportunity for the public to view the quality and breadth of work created by our instructors and, ideally to be inspired and motivated in their own creativity.

Sprezzatura
April 23 – June 5

Group exhibit exploring this Italian term, translating roughly as “avoiding affectation…making whatever is done or said appear to be without effort; a well-practiced naturalness in accomplishing difficult actions which hides the effort that went into them.”

Ceramic Sculpture
June 18 - July 24

The Center is well known for its highly-regarded ceramics program, and this national, juried exhibit will highlight a variety of sculptural, non-functional approaches to working with clay. Exhibit juror is the Center's own Lisa Wolkow, longtime head of the ceramics studio, teacher, mentor, and ceramic sculptor.
