Guilford Art Center Receives Grant for Scholarship Support
Guilford Art Center is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of $1,500 from the George A. and Grace L Long Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., and Alan S. parker, Co-Trustees, to support scholarships to youth programs at the Center.
"We are most appreciative to the Foundation for their support of scholarships to the Center," says Guilford Art Center Program Director Maureen Belden. "These funds will help enable significantly more youth program students to be able to take classes at a reduced tuition rate. Since summer is a busy time for kids' classes, this grant is most timely."
Financial aid for Guilford Art Center classes and workshops is available every semester throughout the year, for both youth and adult students. Awards are based on need and interest and are most often partial scholarships, to enable as many students as possible to participate.
