Local Artistic Talent Showcased in Creating in the Community Series at Guilford Art Center
Guilford Art Center is pleased to announce a new series of get-togethers with many of the talented creative artists who call the Connecticut shoreline their home. Beginning this spring, the Center's Creating in the Community series will offer a chance to meet local artists in their studios, enjoy a glass of wine, and perhaps be inspired to try their own hand at a craft in a relaxed atmosphere.
Amy Leiner, Jewelry Designer

Amy Leiner's signature jewelry line is noted for its chic use of color and innovative design trends. Her business began as a hobby and grew to gain international recognition, with her celebrity clients including Gwenyth Paltrow, Goldie Hawn, and Celine Dion. Amy will offer a gorgeous selection of elements to string, discuss how to use color and texture, and inspire you to combine beads and stones for creating your own necklace that evening. $45, includes all materials.
Barbara Shulman-Kirwin, Glass Artist

Christie Baker has been creating flower arrangements since 1988 and opened her shop in Guilford in 2000. She is known for her commitment to clients' wishes, her unique eye, and ability to transform a space with her creative arrangements. Join Christie and learn how to artfully arrange in a vase the loose-wrapped flowers you buy at the store or receive from friends. Please bring your favorite vase. $35, includes all flowers for creating your own arrangement.
